Revolution Cubana



Revolution Cubana was a Cabaret styled circus with the theme of 1950's Havana where I worked as a assistant technician to the head of Lighting and Sound Adam Cobley. The show was presented by Mary Bijou Cabaret and Social Club in the Weston Studios of the Wales Millennium Center, Cardiff, on the 12th - 14th July 2012.

A documentary that I worked on as cameraman/sound recordist as part of my Honors Integrated Group Project for my degree. Equipment used was a Beyerdynamic MCE 86 shotgun microphone going straight into a Sony Z1 HDV camera.

Radio Ad


This is a radio ad created for a made up product for my Computer Based Media Production Module.Using Pro Tools 10, Saffire Pro 14 interface and Se Electronics SE 2 with the hypercardioid capsule (even though the picture shows the omni). Featuring a sample for Dj Formats 'Here Comes the Fuzz' (2003, Pias Recordings) with all turntable effects using a Numark 1625 through a Urei 1601 mixer.

Blade Runner Sound Design



One of the my first complete sound designs using a record of a volcano with a low pass filter to recreate the rumble of the storm. The explosions and lighting where samples form freesfx.co.uk and the breath was myself recorded on a SE electronics SE 2. The Spacecraft was a recording of a twin prop aircraft (not sure what make or model) which been pitched up and mixed with a duplicate which had been through the DB - 33 virtual organ in Pro Tools to modulate the signal

ADR Exercise

A ADR assignment for my Sound for TV and Film module at university, the first minute is unaltered whole the second is replaced in the studio. Equipment used was a Sony Z1 camera using a Beyerdynamic MCE 86 S II shotgun microphone, used both for the field and studio. The ambiance was match by recording a minute of silence at the location, Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, then applied crossfade with kept audio of the first halve.
